Projects With A Purpose

 

Charitable Projects Workday *** VIDEO ***

Join them on Fridays at 1 PM.    The group members use their skills, with supplies and materials from the Senior Center, to create items for frail older adults and/or children at local businesses and agencies.  Some examples of businesses and agencies that receive projects include:  Barium Springs Children’s Home, Brookdale Peachtree Alzheimers & Dementia unit, and the Kidney Dialysis Center.

 

Mats For Homeless *** VIDEO ***

Want to do something useful?  Help others while enjoying yourself with other people?  On Fridays, at 11 AM, you may connect with this social and working group to make mats for local people who are homeless.  Helpers are needed who will flatten the plastic grocery bags, cut them into strips, and crochet the strips into a mat with a large crochet hook.  At this time, people who have crocheting skills  are especially needed.  No fee or registration.
