Fitness and Recreation
Tai Chi or Chi-Kung *** VIDEO ***
On Mondays, from 9 – 10 AM. Tai Chi practiced regularly, improves flexibility, strength, coordination, balance, and blood pressure. Tai Chi is recommended for its benefits by the Arthritis Foundation. Fee: $6 per class. Instructor: Mike Gentile.
Chair Exercise ***

On Mondays and Thursdays, from 10:30–11:30 AM. Exercise to music while you improve or maintain muscle strength, flexibility, and range of motion. Some of the class is done from a seated position. Instructors: Dot Williams and Jackie Click. No fee or registration. Join anytime!
Beginners’ Line Dance
On Thursdays, from 1–1:30 PM. A fun way to exercise the mind (remembering the dances) and body! Line dance basics covered. You may stay longer and try other line dances with the Intermediate Line Dance group at 1:30 pm. Instructor: Kathy Strantz. No fee or registration involved.
Intermediate Line Dance

Yoga
On Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 2:30–4 PM. Strengthens and tones your body. Promotes flexibility and tissue oxygenation. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a mat. Instructor: Faye Goforth. No fee or registration involved.
Senior Fit Walk at YMCA
Senior Center participants are eligible to use the YMCA in-door walking track at Statesville Family YMCA and the gymnasium at Barium Springs Family YMCA for a $15 monthly fee. First, you will need an ID card from Iredell Senior Center and then we will give you more info on how to enroll. You may walk daily, Monday through Friday, during their regular hours of operation, and enroll on a month by month basis...letting you walk outdoors when it’s pleasant weather.

Enjoy playing on
our two full-sized billiards/pool table, plus a
small table! Women play on Tuesdays at 9
AM, men on Thursdays at 9 AM, and mixed
billiards (everyone plays) on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 8
AM.
Men’s Morning Program
On Thursdays at 8:30 AM the guys arrive for coffee and refreshments. They discuss current events, sometimes play shuffleboard, and progress to billiards. Donations are requested for refreshments. New fellows welcome!
Work-out Equipment
After an
orientation and signing a waiver, you may use the exercise
equipment in the workout room anytime. There is a radio/CD tape
player available for your use. You may bring your own
CDs/tapes. There is hand sanitizer, sanitizing wipes, tissues,
paper towels, and disenfect spray for your use.
